Local MP Visits Fareham & Gosport CCTV Control Room

Local MP, Suella Fernandes, visited the Fareham and Gosport CCTV Control Room on Friday 20th October 2017.

The visit, which was organised by Kevin Wright, Head of Parking & Enforcement, gave Suella a fantastic insight into the environment in which our operatives work in as well as an idea of what they do on a day-to-day basis.

Suella posted the following message after her visit: "Thank you to Kevin Wright, Head of Parking and Enforcement at Fareham BC for explaining how this intricate and sophisticated system works to keep our community safe and enables swift collaboration with the police and emergency services."

She is pictured alongside Enigma CCTV's Regional Manager, Gill Pattison.

Enigma is very proud to share the news that Great Yarmouth's CCTV Team has been shortlisted for a NOSCA (Norfolk Community Safety Award) for Community Citizens of the Year. The NOSCAs celebrate the valuable contribution of police officers, staff and local community members in helping keep Norfolk a safe place to live, work and visit.

Readers of the Eastern Daily Press voted for the three Community Officer of the Year awards.

The four categories that members of the public submitted nominations for were The John (Cecil) Mason Volunteer of the Year, Young Citizen(s) of the Year, Community Citizen(s) of the Year and Police Dog of the Year.

Judges were impressed with the number of entries and the high standard presented and have shortlisted the top two in each category other than Police Dog of the Year. All those shortlisted will be invited to the Norfolk Safer Community Awards presentation evening which takes place at Holiday Inn North, Cromer Road, Norwich on Thursday 12th October.

We wish the team consisting of Theresa Curtis, Adam Lawes, Jonathan Newman, Stephen Spilsted and Karen Watts the best of luck!

As part of its annual charity contribution and corporate social responsibility work, Enigma has, this year, chosen to donate £150.00 to Unicef.

Whilst there were many worthwhile causes to choose from, Enigma decided to opt for Unicef based on the events of the past year. It has been no secret that this year in particular has been a difficult one for children across the world, particularly in the Middle East, where many have had to flee to Europe and other countries to escape the horrors of war.

Unicef and its famous ambassadors, including David Beckham, is working "for every child in danger".

In this video, they tell the stories of some of the millions of children whose lives have been affected by war, disease, hunger and violence.

Further information about Unicef's vital work can be found at the following link: http://www.unicef.org.uk/
